This policy (together with our terms of use stated in the Legal Ownership, Liability and Use section and any other documents referred to henceforth) describes how we collect and use your personal data during your use of the Institute’s central website (connexusinstitute.com) (the ‘website’) in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and related UK data protection legislation. 

1) Who is using your personal data?

The Institute is the “data controller" for the information that we collect when you visit the website. This means that we decide how to use it and are responsible for looking after it in accordance with the GDPR.

Access to your personal data within the Institute will be provided to those staff who need to view it as part of their work in connection with the operation of the website. It will also be shared with the third parties described in Section 5 of this document.

We use third party companies as suppliers for some of our functions. Their use of the data is controlled by our contract with them and they are only allowed to use the data strictly for the purpose we have stated e.g. the data is not used in connection with data from other companies and we are not tracking user behavior outside our own sites.
